Hello everyone and happy Friday! I hope your week has been wonderful! It’s been super busy on my end, but that is always a good thing and I will not complain about that. So, today is my first #FridayFrazzle. Friday Frazzle is basically a quick snapshot of my week. I pull a few things that may have happened or that I’m doing and I’m sharing with you and asking you to feel free to do the same with me.
This week….
What I’m Reading: Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. I’ve seen every Jurassic Park movie known to man. I’ll watch Jurassic World every single time it comes on the television and I’m super excited about the upcoming Jurassic World 2. That being said I’ve never read any of the books that spawned the series and have always wanted to. I decided to change that and here we are!
What I’m Reading for development: Wife in Pursuit 31 Daily Challenges by Selena Frederick. Are you a follower of Fierce Marriage and its community? If you aren’t, I highly recommend. Fierce Marriage is a Christian husband/wife marriage ministry duo name Ryan and Selena Frederick who hope to encourage, challenge, and inspire couples to fight fiercely for their marriage. They’ve been around for a while, but I’ve only recently been following them. One of my goals for 2018 is a stronger Godly relationship in all aspects of my life especially my marriage and parenting. So, I picked up the Wife in Pursuit book and am attempting to complete the challenges. I also joined the community for support. We’ll see how it goes and I’ll be glad to report back to you.
What I’m listening to: Yolanda Adams Channel on Pandora. This was my first week back to work after my mother in love went home. I have been rejoicing all week, but there have been some stressful and emotional moments (both related and non-related to her passing) as well. This channel has definitely helped this week.
What I’m listening to: Fierce Marriage podcast. Ya’ll. (Yes, I know my Southern is showing). As I’ve mentioned earlier, I have been praying to God about marriages in 2018. I’ve also asked Him to mold me into what He wants knowing that process will never be easy. He always answers. This week, in full transparency, I was having an issue with the world’s view of headship and submission vs. my view vs. God’s view. The world’s view had me with head tilted to the side, eyebrows raised, and an irritated “excuse me” on my lips. Well, as it happens, the subject of this week’s podcast was Redeeming the Ideas of Headship and Submission. What a good listen! Seriously, it was a good listen.
Best moment of the week: Baby girl slept all night long 4 out of 5 nights this week! The one night only required a bottle and she was back to sleep with no fussing!
Favorite outfit of the week: Casual Friday! I paired a Navy blue fitted blazer with some denim jeans and cute brown wedge booties. I added the cute Paparazzi pieces in the pic ($5 jewelry ya’ll) and had a cute professional outfit with compliments all day. Bonus: My pre-pregnancy pants fit!
