2018 Weekend Recap

Weekend Recap: Four Faves

Hi Guys!  I hope all is well with you.  It’s time for another Weekly Recap and I wanted to pick a few of my favorite moments with you.

1.  Honeybee’s Last Soccer Game.  On a brisk and cold morning, our Honeybee stepped on the soccer field once again to learn new skills and showcase newly acquired ones.  Saturday was her last soccer game/session of the season.  As always, she had a fantastic time and can’t wait to come back in the Spring.

2.  Field Day.  Do you remember when I had that nesting attack when I was pregnant with baby A.?  I had another one and I’m not even pregnant yet.  I walked in the door Friday and just couldn’t get past the jumble of stuff I saw everywhere.  I know things have been hectic lately, but man.  So, I told the kids that we would have a field day this weekend.  Unfortunately, they misunderstood the term “field day” and associated it with a fun day outside.  When they found out I meant a deep and thorough home cleaning, they weren’t too enthusiastic.  After the shock wore off, they dug in and everyone had their section of the home to do.  I was really proud of their effort.

3.  She’s a Red Velvet Cupcake Girl….Just Like Her Mama.  This Sunday our church celebrated its Christian Academy’s 33rd Anniversary with presentations, a great and Godly word, and cupcakes.  There were yummy red velvet cupcakes that accompanied a marble cake, and man were they yummy. S. decided to let baby A. have one and of course cuteness ensued….

4.  Church Injection.  It stands to reason that these things never quite work out perfectly all the time.  I’ve been taking PIO shots for about a week now and today I had to give myself an injection in the bathroom stall.  I didn’t have a choice.  S. was speaking during the program.  It was time for my shot.  It would be at least two hours before I’d have another chance to do so, so I went for it.  Maybe it was being nervous about being found out, but this one was by far the most painful I’ve ever done.  OW!
That was our weekend in a nutshell!  How was yours?
