2019 New Year travel vacation

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year, everyone! I thoroughly enjoyed my break from all things blog and social media the first week in 2019. It was just great to be able to spend time with family and enjoy the moment. For their “big” Christmas gift, S. and I surprised the kids with a trip to Florida starting the day after Christmas through the first week of January. Everyone had a great time.

It was the first time in years that we didn’t bring in the New Year during Watch Night services at our church, but the family fellowship we experienced at Florida made up for it.

The kids’ faces were on smiles most of time (except the night time when they had their typical sibling bickering). We stuck to Universal Studios during this visit. All three parks—Universal Studios, Islands of Adventures, and Volcano Bay—were visited. Since my brother in loves and their significant others and family joined, the kids had ample playmates and ride companions and that made the trip even more fun.

Don’t worry about not seeing too much of Bug and S.  They went off with my BILs and their kids to ride the roller coasters and big rides.  Of course, I was limited to what I could get on thanks to pregnancy and recurring morning sickness, but I didn’t mind too much. I had one day of scariness when I started heavy spotting. I took it easy and sat as much as I was able, called the nurse and confirmed I wasn’t really cramping nor was I saturating pads. I spend the next day in bed for the first half of the day and by evening, everything had trickled. I guess my body was saying we were doing too much as we were at the park near opening and not leaving until closing every day. I’m fine now and am very thankful, but man that was scary.
The epitome of taking it easy.
We left Florida headed home about 1130 Saturday morning and made pretty good timing ( with one major stop for dinner) and got home a little after midnight. We unloaded the car and by 1AM, I was in the bed. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to lounge there too long as I had to get up for church Sunday yesterday. It was a beautiful service and a beautiful day, the perfect way to begin the week.

Today, I woke up early to take our daughter to her first day of preschool and our youngest to her first day of a new daycare. It’s a beautiful experience and I am so very thankful for it. I’m excited that she will be learning and growing and exposed to new things. That is SUCH a blessing.  I can’t wait to share pictures with you all later.

I hope you have a fantastic day and a wonderful New Year!  Talk to you soon!
