PREGNANCY WEEK 14- 6-13 February 2019
Oh my! I hope your week has been amazing! Mine has been hectic! This week I received a phone call at work that my Bug had a 103.2 degree fever and I needed to pick him up ASAP. We made a doctor’s appointment and confirmed what I suspected–Influenza. Bug has strain A and it has been kicking his butt. Fortunately, we caught it fast enough that we were able to start Tamiflu. He’s away from school for the next several days and my bosses have all been kind enough to allow teleworking (thank you God). Still, I’m keeping eyes on all events because I want to make sure everything is covered. In the meantime, I’m sanitizing as best as I can because there is still a 1 year old, a 4 year old, and a pregnant woman in this house and none of us can afford to get sick.

Before all of this yuckiness hit. |
Keep my Bug in your prayers, guys! Thanks so much!
How far along: 14 weeks
How big is baby: the size of a peach. I absolutely love peaches and now I want a peach smoothie.
Gender: Unknown
Events of this week: We celebrated my father in love’s birthday this week at a local Japanese steakhouse. It was such an enjoyable evening and the food was quite yummy! Baby A. enjoyed her first fire flambe’ show and Honeybee loved her miso soup. I love when my babies get to experience new things.
Symptoms: Still nauseous on occasion. I had one episode of vomiting a few days ago.
Exercise/Activity: Definitely haven’t been engaging in that. I certainly need to do better.
Sleep: I am having the craziest and most vivid dreams! I am also snoring…a lot, much to S.’s chagrin.
Maternity clothes: I wore a pair of maternity jeans the other day only because I couldn’t find my jeans. They were too big and kept falling off lol. I am pleased that I’m gaining slower in this pregnancy.
Stretch marks: The old ones from my previous pregnancies.
Belly Button: In.
Food cravings: No, I haven’t had any that I can really call..
Food aversions: Coffee still smells yucky.
Movement: Yep. I had yogurt the other day and the baby definitely moved in appreciation of the sweet treat.
Best Moment of the Week: Celebrating my father in love’s birthday. I loved the way his face lit up while holding his youngest grandchildren and being surrounded by his children.
Worst Moment of the Week: Bug being diagnosed with the flu. Poor baby. We’ll be watching him like a hawk.
What I’m looking forward to: My appointment next week. I want to hear the baby’s heartbeat again. I also need to ask my doctor when I can schedule my ultrasound with the perinatologist.
What I’m nervous about/praying for: Praying for a healthy baby, for those who are suffering and in want, for our nation
What I miss: Nothing
