Week 25: 24-30 April 2019
This week’s video:
Hi everyone! What an interesting week! The kids got to go with Daddy to Take your Kids to Work Day. I got to register Honeybee for Kindergarten! I met with the Obstetrician to check on Baby Bean, and I joined two celebrations. It’s been busy!
How far along: 25 weeks
How big is baby: the size of an eggplant
Weight gained: 16 pounds
Gender: Unknown (Team Green)
Events of this week: Registered Honeybee for Kindergarten! Celebrated the retirement and going away of one of the families at our church. Also celebrated the birthday of my niece and nephew. Missed the celebration of my girlfriend’s shower 🙁
Someone’s all registered for Kindergarten
Prepping for: All day meetings next week and a birthday party that S. is attending.
Symptoms:Sore: My breasts and back hurt a lot. I can’t seem to remember it being this bad in my last pregnancy, but each one is different, so we’ll just make due. Braxton Hicks: They HURT a LOT!!! A lot of people seem surprised when I tell them that I have them, but I typically have BH’s from week 20 until the day I deliver. I’m at 25 weeks, so they are right on queue. Back pain: It’s been pretty consistent for the past few days. I have been advised to get a maternity belt from those moms who have come before me. I’m looking into this NOW.
INCONTINENCE: STILL. If I sneeze, I’m going to pee. Panty liners are a thing now and no, Kegels do not work.
Baby purchases: None this week. But I did rock the heck out of this beautiful maternity dress I purchased from Amazon. I promise I’m purchasing more in several colors. I even wrote them a review. I LOVED this dress. It was comfortable, form flattering, and you couldn’t even see the bump unless I was side turning. I love this dress.
Stretch marks: Yep!
Food cravings: Cherry Icees and Watermelon
Food aversions: Not really
Sleep: I can’t!! Baby doesn’t want me on my right side, but my left has me facing S. and he is just too close lol. The baby also likes to move during the night, so I’ve been cheating and using my Pregnancy White Noise app to help me get some sleep. Fan is my favorite. Movement: Every day, most of the day
Best Moment(s) of the Week: Registering Honeybee for Kindergarten. Oh wow, she is growing up! Hitting 100 days before my due date….YAY!!!! Not so great moment: The contraction that hit while I was driving. I was asking the baby what I did! Man, that hurt!
Happy or Moody: I’m in a pretty chill mood. Looking forward to: May! I am looking forward to May flowers!
