Hello everyone!  Sorry we’re late!  We are 89 days away from baby’s due date!  Woohoo!  I won’t say that I don’t enjoy this pregnancy, but oh man am I ready to get closer to due dates!  The pain that I experienced from last week’s update was not here this week thanks to a recently purchased maternity belt.  This thing is amazing!  I’ve touted its attributes in my Friday Favorites post.  It really is a great invention and has helped me so much!

There hasn’t been a lot going on this week with the exception of the continuation of Bug’s Bible Study at one of our community churches.  He has been enjoying it so much.  I’m so pleased that He loves his Word so much.  I think that will help him so much in the future. The class leaders gave him a new Bible called the Warrior’s Bible.  He really loves it.  Because we’re in a military community and because his birth father is retired Army, grandfathers are retired Army and Marine Corps, and his mom is within the DoD world daily, it definitely speaks to him.

In bittersweet news, we learned last week that Bug’s great-grandmother on his paternal side transitioned to the Lord.  She was such a great woman who LOVED Bug and prayed and blessed over him every time she saw him.  He was a little sad, but knows he will see her again and that has given him great comfort.  Her funeral was this week, so we took some time to go down and celebrate her life.

Week 26: 9-16 May 2019

How far along: 27 weeks
How big is baby: the size of a head of lettuce

Weight gained: haven’t weighed myself this week, but have an appointment next week
Gender: Unknown (Team Green)
Events of this week:  Mother’s Day 2019; Music Ministry prep for church anniversary, Homegoing celebrations for Bug’s great-grandmother

Prepping for:  Next week’s doctor’s appointment.  I’ll be in third trimester (7 months!!!!)  and appointments move to every two weeks!  We’ll be getting close!  Yay!!!
Symptoms:  Insomnia, Slight Back Pain remains

Baby/Maternity purchases: I mentioned this in my Friday Favorite’s, but I purchased this really cute maternity dress in teal.  It was a beautiful Mother’s Day dress and shhhh, I wore nude low heels with it.  CUTE!!!  But painful on the feet come day’s end!

Stretch marks: Yep and they are fierce, lol
Belly Button: Still in, but very flat
Food cravings: Still watermelon and cherry icees, though I wanted cookies and cream icecream the other night and would kill for a California roll right now.

Food aversions: Not really

Sleep: Still no sleep.  I’m up at 1AM, 3AM, and 6AM.  By then, I’m exhausted and getting to work on time this week has been something.

Movement: Every day, most of the day.  Baby especially likes moving after fruit and cold water.

Best Moment(s) of the Week: Spending time with Bug

Not so great moment:  I had a lady cut me off the other day–twice–with her kids in the car.  Then, ask me to follow her to fight her when I told her I had to slam on brakes to avoid hitting her.  Really?  I couldn’t believe she was so nasty as to put her children at risk.  I could have been anyone and could have easily tapped into another source of volatility not seen by most.  It’s not that crucial guys.  Geez.

Oh, the flat tire going home from work on the same day wasn’t fun either.

Happy or Moody:  A bit more moody than I want to be.

Looking forward to:  Third trimester.  I feel like I have permission then to start really prepping!
