Hello and Happy New Year! The break from posting was nice, but I have to admit that I really missed everyone. This past weekend was really an enjoyable one. I even broke my introvert mold and got out of the house (gasp!) Here’s what’s going on with us…
Saturday morning, our baby J. turned five months old! It seems like yesterday he was just making his hurried debut. I took the picture above and shared a bit about him finding his feet. The full monthly update is coming soon, so be on the lookout!
Despite it being cloudy, it was the perfect day to celebrate new arrivals. One of my beautiful church family was blessed with a baby shower honoring the soon coming arrival of a beautiful baby boy. It was an absolutely wonderful celebration with fun memories, games, and décor. Seriously, the décor was AMAZING and so were the games!
One of my work friends got me this beautiful “Powered by Jesus” shirt for Christmas. I love it and couldn’t think of a better place to wear it than a shower celebrating life. It was also great to be able to pose in something so cute and comfortable.
Snuggle time with baby J. definitely gets a mention. He has a new tooth coming in. As a matter of fact, it’s pretty close to fully erupting in all its glory. He fell in love with the frozen Elmo teether and snuggled up with me while giving his gums quite the workout.
Sundays are always such a favorite day. Just having the chance to praise God is an amazing thing especially with all the craziness going on in the world. Yesterday, our beautiful Honeybee woke up and asked if she could dress like Elsa for church. I was a bit confused as to what she meant until she pointed to a dress in her closet that made her more than happy. I couldn’t resist the sweet ask and was glad to make it happen.
BONUS
I’ve been delving into the “Restoring Our View of Motherhood” devotion on the Bible App. I really like this plan and the scriptures associated with it. It has been a great read and a wonderful instigator of deep thought for me. I definitely recommend!

I’ve decided that I want to have focus verses to meditate on throughout the week. I feel like 2020 is going to be an amazing year spiritually and I want to be all in for whatever God has in store for me. This week’s verse is Proverbs 3:5-6.
