2020 24 weeks pregnant Pregnancy #4

Preggo #4: Bump Update- 24 weeks

Hi everyone!  I hope your week has been as enjoyable as mine!  I hit 40 years young this week!  Yay!  I had a wonderful celebration that you can learn more about here.  The week itself has been very busy and I am looking forward to a chance to actually rest for a while.

So it’s another week with baby!   I’m really looking forward to sharing with you.
How far along: We are 24 weeks and it has been a very busy week at Le Chateau Frazzled.

Total weight gain: I haven’t weighed myself, but I won’t be surprised if I have really picked up some weight this week.  It’s been confection heaven here with my birthday.

Maternity clothes: I can always tell when I have hit “that” moment in pregnancy that says I have officially crossed into maternity always.  That moment is when I wear dresses more often than not.  I’m not a big dress fan, but I’ve been wearing a lot more maxi and maternity dresses lately as 1. It’s hot, 2.  They fit.  I don’t mind them, but man…the fact that I need them says a lot.

Stretch marks: They’re not disappearing.

Sleep: Guys!  My son got me the coolest birthday gift.  It’s a body pillow, but it’s covered in the softest down-like material.  It’s so comfortable and as soon as I lay my head on it, I’m out within minutes.  I love it!!

Best moment(s) of this week: Definitely the surprise birthday celebration.  I wasn’t expecting anything, just a nice quiet dinner and maybe a Netflix movie.  After all, COVID is real.  My husband made the day so special and I can’t thank him, my family, my friends, and my loved ones enough for the love they showed me.

Not so great moment(s) of this week: Wow, there were a couple.  First, a very dear friend of mine lost her father.  He had recently just visited and I know he will be sorely missed.

Then a very strong storm made its way through our area and decided it didn’t like the placement of our fence.  The hail and wind were pretty fierce and when everything was done, out front fence was down.

I’ve already contacted some fence repair vendors and have a rather reasonable quote, but it will take a while for them to fit us in because they are so busy with all the home improvements people are making while stuck at home during the pandemic.  Hopefully, we can get this repaired sooner than later.
Oh!  I didn’t mention that our tire on the car also flattened in the storm.  Sigh.  BUT no one was hurt and I have no complaints about that.

Gender: Team green!

Any new symptoms: Lightning crotch! 🗲  Man, I knew this was a thing.  I’ve read about it in each of my pregnancies, but never experienced it.  This past week, I was laying on the sofa.  I got up to go to the bathroom and my pelvis region felt like an electric shock of massive proportions ran through!  WHAT IN THE WORLD!?!  It has done so every couple of days since.  This. is. not. fun. lol.

What I’m loving in this pregnancy: That I am comfortable in it.  Not physically, but mentally and spiritually.  I am okay with everything that is going with my body and it’s responses to everything.  I guess with age comes maturity (ideally) and patience.  I’m okay with the way my body is behaving for the most part.

What I’m missing in this pregnancy: I still miss being able to spend some time with my girlfriends.  I’m an introvert naturally, but occasionally I would like to see people and spend time with them.

Cravings and Aversions: Remember last week when I wanted everything.  This week, not so much.  I don’t want to eat so much as I want to drink…a lot.  Which means I’m in the bathroom…a lot.  I don’t mind though.  I’m getting my steps in, so a win is a win.

What I’m looking forward to: I finally made an appointment for Honeybee’s eczema.  It’s gotten really bad lately and she has been miserable.  Appointments have been hard to come by with the pandemic.  I called an office down the street from us that was recommended by a friend.  An appointment is available next week and I am looking forward to finding some treatments and options.

Activity level: I promise.  I know I have to get better and I absolutely will…I hope.

Anything else: Not that I can think of at the moment.

So that’s my update for the week!  I hope you have an awesome weekend!
