2020 Pregnancy #4 What's Up Wednesday

What’s Up, Wednesday

How crazy is it that I’m connecting to you all on another last Wednesday of the month.  Sunday will be August.  This year is flying.  Wow!  Anyway, I’m linking with Mix and Match Mama and Sheaffer Told Me To.  Here’s what’s going on in our world.

What We’re Eating This Week:
Professional sports cautiously started again for everyone.  It has been great being able to sit down and spend some time with the family watching the competition of sports instead of the political rigmarole we see daily.  As such, we’ve been eating “sports food”.
Meatball subs, chili cheese dogs, prepping ribs for the weekend, and sandwiches.  Lots of sandwiches.  This has been a very hot week in terms of temperatures.  Turkey BLTs, Egg salad, they have all been consumed with no complaints.
You all already know.
What I’m Reminiscing About:

Last week was difficult as I watched the live streamed funeral services of two loved ones passed due to COVID-19.  The services were beautiful especially the one for my former band instructor.  After that was done, I found my senior memory book in storage.  It was so fun walking down memory lane.  The old love letters, the photos, the mementos.  It was such a blessing to see where God has brought me from.
What I’m Loving:
This pregnancy!  All is progressing well.  Baby is growing right on schedule.  I’m still tired these days, but no complaints!  I am looking forward to seeing how the rest of this pregnancy goes.
What We’ve Been Up To:
Working.  I have graduate school, personal work, and professional work.  It’s been super busy around here!
What I’m Dreading:
I have a dental appointment next week.  I looked in the mirror and realized that I have a pretty big cavity on my molar.  That’s the last thing I need pregnant, but there it is.  So, I’m going to get a cleaning and an x-ray to determine just how bad it is.  I already have a huge dental phobia, so this is nothing I am excited about.
Dental Phobia is real
What I’m Working On:
So much!  First, you all know that I am working on my Masters degree.  This week and last week was ridiculously busy.  Papers, tests, journals are all due this week.  In personal news, I am working on my business, updating the professional website and updating my media kit.  I am also modifying some of the things on this site and its corresponding social media pages. It’s a busy one, but I’m ready!
What I’m Excited About:
Baby J turns one in a few more days!  We’re still quarantining here, so it will be just the core family with maybe a Zoom call of the family, but that’s about it.  My new is growing so fast!
I am also excited because The Walking Dead finally announced the date of their season finale.  I’ve been waiting to see how the gang was going to fare against Beta.  You know someone has to die and someone has to live.  As long as they don’t get rid of my Daryl, I’m good.
What I’m watching/reading:
So, last week I tuned in to NBC Titans to watch my cousin Shantal Athill compete on the show.  She gave a valiant effort and looked good doing it, but ultimately lost.  That’s okay though.  I am so proud of her.  She did a great job!
I am watching All American on Amazon Prime.  I really enjoy the show and S. and I watch it together as alone time when the kids are down.
I’m still reading the 365 day “As It Happened” Bible plan with Bug and S.  It’s been an amazing experience reading and discussing the Word of God with my husband and oldest son.  The babies get the Children’s Bible Stories, but there is definitely an amazing thing about family devotion.
What I’m Listening To:
Alexa playing “Modern Gospel”.  It sets the mood so well for a beautiful and productive day.
What I’m Wearing:
😂 Right now, I’m wearing whatever fits.
This pregnancy has been pretty chill because of the pandemic, so I haven’t needed to dress up much.  There are a couple of outfits that I’ve worn and some I am spying for the Fall.  I can hardly wait for Fall.  You all already know.
What I’m Doing This Weekend:
Our church stewardship meeting is this weekend.  The option for limited social distancing or Zoom dial in has been provided.  We will more than likely dial in.  We also need to drop off the car to repair the A/C because I have a lot of stops to make next week and will need to have a cool car in this heatwave.
What I’m Looking Forward To Next Month:
Bug is turning 14 next month.  I’ll have a high school freshman.  I’m so thankful and so blessed.  It will be nice to be able to get him something special and to do the same.
What Else Is New:  That’s pretty much it!
