Hi everyone! We’ve made it to week 36!!! We’re almost at the day of this little’s arrival.
I love this picture!
Total weight gain: This week’s appointment had me at 171 pounds. I have no idea where I am on the total weight, but I am definitely up there. My blood pressure has been cooperating as well. Today, we were 112/74 which a bit higher than normal for me, but well within normal range.
Maternity clothes: The week’s weather really held up its end of the bargain and let me experience Fall. I wore a new shirt from Love In Faith Clothing (love that store by the way), paired it with a brown blazer, some pregnancy jeans, and one of my head wraps to rock the cutest Fall Maternity look. This was by far my favorite outfit of the week.
Sleep: I’ve actually been getting a pretty good amount of sleep this week. With the reintroduction of the body pillow that Bug purchased for me and the addition of a box fan blowing cool air, I have been enjoying the sleep minus the constant trips to the bathroom.
Best moment(s) of this week: I had a couple. Spending time with the family is always a great moment. This week was filled with random moments. Baby J. was running around the family room just enjoying himself and I couldn’t resist the cute picture he made.
On Tuesday, I woke up a bit early to prepare for work when Little A. decided she wanted to come in the family room with me and find a comfortable place beside me to rest. She decided on this lovely location here.
Not to be outdone, my Honeybee did a nice apple craft with her class and couldn’t wait for me to take a picture of it and her!
Not so great moment(s) of this week: My work computer decided it wanted to be not so nice this week and I had to drop into the office to get it repaired. That was a bit frustrating, but in hind sight a nice escape from the house. The sad thing was I missed our Honeybee’s reading assessment. I am told she did really well. I wanted to be here for that.
Gender: We’re still team green.
Any new symptoms: Not really. Despite the doctor saying baby is still up very high, I feel lightning crotch and pressure when I walk. Baby’s head felt really low on Tuesday. I guess it was just practicing.
Any prep for baby: Yes. Making sure things for the hospital bag are coming together (post coming soon). Making sure I have a couple of unisex outfits since we don’t know what baby’s gender is. Preparing a quick meal plan to just drop a couple of things in the crockpot for meal time. I am also listening to Hypnobirthing and Dr. Thompson’s Method of Pain-Free Breastfeeding. I’m really pleased with the latter as nursing can be painful and I’m definitely looking forward to applying some of the lessons gleaned so that I can experience things pain-free.
Cravings and Aversions: I had a new one this week. I wanted, but didn’t get, chili cheese hotdog with onions. I have no idea where, but mannnn… I definitely wanted it. I also wanted California rolls and after confirming it was okay, I picked some up.
What I’m looking forward to: Decorating the house for Fall and this virus to go away. My cousin created the most beautiful wreath and it is now sitting on our door. I LOVE it!
Activity level: Nope. I’m just going to be honest. This has not been the most active pregnancy. Hopefully, that won’t bite me in the butt later.
Anything else: I am getting excited about meeting the baby. I hope everything goes well. I’ll be doing a lot of praying before baby comes.
