Hi guys! Happy Monday! I’m hoping you had a great weekend. Ours was filled with family time and I have no complaints about it at all. Here’s a quick weekend recap for you.

Saturday morning, I was able to leave the house for a few minutes to run a couple of errands without the kids. I knew Super Bowl was coming and I wanted a bit of normalcy with our meatball subs and ribs that I usually have on the football meal menu. While I was in the store, I decided to grab some acrylic paints and a couple of wooden letters for an arts and crafts night with the younger children since Bug would be working. (Don’t worry. I still bought a letter for him as well).

The kids had no idea what I’d planned, but were so excited when I pulled out the paints.

Yesterday, of course, was SuperBowl Sunday. We woke up to see the ground covered with a light dusting of snow. It was very pretty watching it fall and a perfect backdrop to our morning.

While the snow fell, we livestreamed our church service while I cooked breakfast in the background. Funny how the sermon matches so closely with the daily devotional.

The kids were super excited because our church was having a virtual Super Bowl event where you shared your family dressed in your favorite team jersey. You were also invited to share your SuperBowl with the church. Food, family, etc. were shared with a hashtag. It was a cute idea and you know we are always in the mood to showcase our love for the Chicago Bears.
I had a great time watching the game with my favorite people, but I have to admit that I was disappointed in the game. I was really hoping for a different outcome. Still, in the spirit of sportsmanship, congratulations Buccaneers.
The rest of the weekend was occupied with school work and motherhood (though S. and I did manage to spend some time together watching the new Denzel movie). How was your weekend?
-K
